Hello shark-friends! It is Monday, and with this new week brings NEW chances for adventure at sea! Last week was unfortunately riddled with bad weather conditions. However, the weather cleared on Saturday, which just so happened to be WORLD OCEANS DAY, and our team was able to go to SEA! The sub-Antarctic skuas/brown skuas (๐๐ต๐ฆ๐ณ๐ค๐ฐ๐ณ๐ข๐ณ๐ช๐ถ๐ด ๐ข๐ฏ๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ค๐ต๐ช๐ค๐ถ๐ด) were sighted, as usual in winter, almost immediately upon leaving the harbour. They were then followed by kelp gulls (๐๐ข๐ณ๐ถ๐ด ๐ฅ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ช๐ฏ๐ช๐ค๐ข๐ฏ๐ถ๐ด) and Hartlaub’s gulls (๐๐ฉ๐ณ๐ฐ๐ช๐ค๐ฐ๐ค๐ฆ๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ข๐ญ๐ถ๐ด ๐ฉ๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ญ๐ข๐ถ๐ฃ๐ช๐ช). “Our” bronze whaler sharks (๐๐ข๐ณ๐ค๐ฉ๐ข๐ณ๐ฉ๐ช๐ฏ๐ถ๐ด ๐ฃ๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐ฉ๐บ๐ถ๐ณ๐ถ๐ด) were very active, and our clients had a fantastic trip! The weather is looking good for this week so if you have a chance, come and join us. A reminder that we currently have a special running for a shark cage diving, and whale watching COMBO! Have a lovely week, everyone!
